After completing my MBBS from New Delhi, I emigrated to England in 1996. Here I trained in Internal medicine for 3 years at Lincolnshire and Leicestershire. This is where I gained an interest in Gastroenterology and Hepatology. Following this I undertook a research fellowship in Acid Reflux. Thereafter I enrolled in higher training as a specialist registrar in Gastroenterology & Internal medicine for a further 5 years. I then moved to The Netherlands to complete a fellowship in advanced endoscopy.

My love for India brought me back home where I joined Max Saket as a Consultant Gastroenterologist for 10 years. Simultaneously I redeveloped Talwar Medical Centre, where I practice today.

I am married to Melanie, an Occupational Therapist by profession, now a home maker, We have 2 lovely sons.
